  • What you'll do

    As the Practice Manager, Business Analysis & Solution Design your primary responsibility is to provide leadership to a team of business analysts on the Billtrust Professional Services team.  The Practice Manager will be responsible for leading his or her team in developing and executing a repeatable methodology to extract, capture, communicate, estimate and monitor functional and technical requirements for all customer implementation projects.


    • Effectively manage the timely definition of scope and estimation of future resource commitments across the business analysis team and the delivery of comprehensive and complete requirements to the development organization
    • Develop and deploy your team appropriately to meet and address increasing customer demand
    • Ensure that the schedule of critical team deliverables is clearly communicated to the project team and customer stakeholders
    • Facilitate the process of sizing and assigning resources to project solution requests and to support projects during their execution
    • Use project metrics to analyze and report on trends, including capacity forecasting, and to present this information to team members, peers and management
    • Create and maintain a collaborative work environment, set goals, give clear direction, mentor and provide decisive and positive feedback to members of his or her team, and empower individuals to take initiative and responsibility for their work
    • Monitor the team’s effort both on an individual and aggregate level, and ensure the team consistently produces high-quality deliverables
    • Drive efficiencies by evaluating, streamlining and optimizing existing processes and procedures
    • Collaborate with partner teams to ensure standardized and consistent processes across the organization
    • Interface with subject matter experts in product management, development and QA
    • Lead team and provide direction in deconstructing high level ideas into detailed components

    What you'll bring to the team

    • 7+ years’ experience of proven success working in a professional services environment or equivalent
    • Strong analytical skills and experience in eliciting, documenting and evaluating business requirements which may impact multiple Billtrust products and/or platforms
    • 4+ years managing and developing teams, including the establishment of performance and development goals, coaching, mentoring, and administering performance appraisals
    • Proven success in evaluating processes and implementing improvements
    • Ability to encourage an atmosphere of trust, openness and communication by working closely with both  internal teams and customers on establishing clear, shared objectives during the execution of all new projects
    • Strong communication and leadership skills to establish a common understanding of delivery expectations 
    • Ability to work collaboratively with customers and peers across the organization on a daily basis and to work with teams who have been tasked with producing other work products based on their team’s deliverables
    • Experience with Project Management Tools and/or Requirements Management Tools
