    What you'll do

    Billtrust is seeking a high-energy Product Owner to aid us in delivering releases for our Data Analytics initiatives. Reporting to the Head of Product within our Credit2b division, you will work closely with data scientists and software developers to ship key features and products, including ongoing enhancements to Machine Learning (ML) based scoring, Search, and Match capabilities, as well as other custom, client-driven projects for score models and predictive outcomes. You will work closely with a diverse, experienced team of colleagues, clients and data partners to solve complex problems in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

     

    • Manage product backlog, user stories, and cross-product dependencies
    • Evaluate new feature enhancement requests based on market demand, ROI and client impact – Own the ‘What’ and ‘When’ of the data initiative with respect to roadmap prioritization
    • Collaborate with Dev, QA and Data Science teams to implement new feature/functionality and deliver release commitments on time
    • Manage specific client needs & requests while balancing product roadmap priorities
    • Collaborate with Dev/QA leads during product development
    • Lead efforts to ensure data definitions, relationships, and combinations are supported by robust software methods
    • Work with product marketing and technical writers to assist with marketing, training and end-user documentation
    • Serve as an expert on external/third-party data and related projects
    • Partner with Data Science team on developing standards and processes for testing and validation of new score models

    What you'll bring to the team

    • Strong analytical background with a background in data science product management highly preferred
    • Proven ability to successfully manage product backlog in a fast-paced, product-centric environment – 4+ years of relevant experience
    • Understanding of Machine Learning concepts, along with an understanding of statistical concepts with an ability to analyze and explain data
    • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally, and work well in a distributed, team-oriented environment
    • Ability to plan for the future strategy while maintaining the current delivery
    • Ability to understand XML and translate it to client-facing products
    • Experienced in researching and understanding data sets for business needs, as well as working with third-party data vendors to acquire and map data as needed
    • Demonstrated ability to solve business problems by questioning existing ways of thinking and devising better alternatives
    • Ability to lead release activities from analysis through to implementation
    • Ability to work directly with clients in user forum, round table, or customer outreach sessions
    • Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills
    • Experience in a SaaS, FinTech or Data Intelligence product/business preferred
    • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Statistics or Economics or related field (or equivalent experience)
